The unofficial first dance of the season, our annual visit to the Museum of Kent life.

Reminiscences of the day courtesy of Brenda.

"The weather was lovely, especially compared to the Ale the week before.  It was sunny, and very warm, especially dancing!  A pleasant surprise was the appearance of Copperfield Clog,  which meant that we'd have more rest breaks from the heat that day.

"Saying that, though, Colin was determined to outdo Copperfield's procession, insisting we process not only up to the tea room, but after a suitable rest, process down as well!

"The fine weather meant there was an exceptional turnout, and that was just the side! Actually, it was one of the best crowds for years. Lots of stuff to see and do, and to give the serious entertainers a break, Skynflynt were there as well to provide some musical intervals.

"The late afternoon sun allowed for a perfect end to a perfect day's dancing -- good companionship and chat at the tea room. A thoroughly enjoyable day."
