Wimborne Folk Festival

Once again, the unsuspecting citizens of this sleepy little market town in Dorset found itself subjected to the whims of KCM... read on for all the details...

These events are not necessarily in chronological order: you cannot expect my beer-addled brain to remember such specifics, now, can you?

Saturday was appallingly dry and bright to start with, in fact stayed like that all day.  We had a few quick dances in the High Street, ducking into a nearby pub whenever a cloud passed in front of the sun (well, I did, anyway).

Iggy made a few new friends!

For most of the time, we just let other sides get on with it, there were enough of us out there!  This is Chinewrde dancing in front of the Green Man, on Sunday...

... and here we are, believe it or not, within a few minutes of the last picture.  The weather, although not actually rainy, was rather changeable.

Saturday evening I opted to go watch the Fezheads and their 'Wheel of Death'.  The square was so crowded, one could barely see them for all the people...

Altogether more relaxing than Saturday, as we didn't do any dancing after 12:30.  The weather started to improve, becoming quite warm in the end!

An invitation to supply music for a private party in exchange for food and drink was too good to pass up, and could turn into an annual event.

It was a little bit like a dress-rehearsal for Sidmouth!

Iggy keeps a watchful eye on the dancers (and is always on the lookout for a chance to snap up some flowers from an unsuspecting morris person's hat!)

Colin had been waiting almost the entire weekend to ride Wendy's bike!

Iggy can't wait to go back!
